The University System Owe Reparations: The Ivory Tower Exposed

White People Must Face the Truth About Colonialism: Penny Hess Speaks

This presentation was recorded on November 8th, 2020 in Washington DC at the annual conference of the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations. Penny Hess is the Chair of the African People's Solidarity Committee, the organization of white people working under the leadership of the African People's Socialist Party to build the movement for white reparations to African people. Penny Hess joined the African People’s Solidarity Committee at its founding conference in 1976 and has for the past forty-five years worked under the leadership of the African People’s Socialist Party and Chairman Omali Yeshitela to build white solidarity with black power. Chairwoman Penny is also the author of Overturning the Culture of Violence. In this speech Chairwoman Penny calls on white people to examine our historic and current complicity in the colonial violence against African and Indigenous people and the theft of  their wealth, land and resources. Genocide of Indigenous Children in Canada's Death Camps

In Episode 10 of "White Lies Shattered," Chairwoman Penny and USM Chair Jesse Nevel take a close look at the genocidal horrors settler colonialism has inflicted on the first nations of Canada at colonial death camps known as residential schools where untold thousands of indigenous children were tortured, raped and murdered by priests, nuns government agents and regular white citizens.

Kamloops is just one of these concentration camps which has been in the headlines recently since the discovery of over 215 bodies of native children in a mass grave. We will expose the vile nature of this bloody legacy, the complicity of the white church, state and populace and hear chilling testimony from indigenous survivors of the Canadian holocaust. The only way to rectify this nightmare is through reparation, the return of all Indigenous lands to Indigenous people.

How St. Pete Destroyed a Black Community to Build a Baseball Stadium

Did you know that the city government of St. Petersburg, Florida destroyed a black community in the 1980s 

This episode features interviews with African People's Socialist Party Department of Agitprop director and former St. Petersburg city council candidate Akile Anai (AKA Eritha Akile Cainion), APSP member Themba Tshibanda and Uhuru Solidarity Movement Chair and former St. Petersburg mayoral candidate Jesse Nevel who help shatter the lie that the city of St. Petersburg is offering economic development to the African community with any of its corporate schemes to redevelop the land at Tropicana Field which was built by destroying the Gas Plant district, the oldest black neighborhood in the city.

Learn about the vibrant history of this once thriving community and the mendacity of a city government and white ruling class that continues to profit from the forced removal of the African population.

This episode explains the goals of the "Reparations Now: Take Back the Dome," campaign led by the Uhuru  Movement which is calling for the return of the 86 acres of land under the Tropicana stadium to be returned to the black community as an act of reparations."
